Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
II Timothy 2:15
What is AWANA?
For over six decades, the Lord has used the ministry of Awana to reach kids, equip leaders, and change the world. The unchanging truth of the gospel drives the same vision we’ve held all these years to reach children in every corner of the globe as we walk boldly into the future and continue to be used by God to help change the world.

Robert and Rose Stanton- Awana Commander and Secretary
Robert and Rose Stanton have stepped into the Commander and Secretary role this year after serving a combined 26 plus years in the AWANA program. Their mission is to reach the hearts of children, to give them a Biblical foundation, and Scriptural tools. They and their fellow AWANA workers teach and train the children so that when they are older, they will not depart from God's Word.
Without their AWANA team, they would not be able to accomplish their goal to reach kids for Christ. Calvary's AWANA staff is trained in children ministry and undergo background checks so you can have the confidence that your child comes first.

Sponsor a Clubber
Would you like to be a part of AWANA but you're not able to serve in the club? There are three ways to become a part of the club. First is prayer. We covet your prayers for the clubbers, clubber's parents, and for the AWANA workers. The second way is words of encouragement and fellowship. Come out and spend time before and after services getting to know the clubbers and their families. Encourage the workers who devote not only their Sunday evenings, but also the week preparing for the meeting. The Third way is to invite and/or sponsor clubbers. As with any program, AWANA has its costs. Here at Calvary Baptist, we believe no child should be turned away and everyone should have the opportunity to hear the Gospel Message and memorize scripture. We encourage you to start praying for the club and consider sponsoring a clubber. Please reach out to Robert or Rose Stanton if you have any questions.
